Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15 - 10/15)
Hispanic Heritage Month
Observed September 15 to October 15
Individuals celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic-American champions through history who have inspired others to achieve success.
The observation of these individuals began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson.
It was expanded and enacted into law on August 17, 1988 by President Ronald Reagan to cover a 30-day period.
The theme for 2024, selected by the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM), is "Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together"
