SUN Bucks is a grocery benefit available for eligible families with school-aged children. Families can receive $120 per child to buy groceries during the summer.
Families can receive SUN Bucks on top of other benefits like SNAP and WIC, and children can continue to enjoy free SUN Meals from local meal sites or with SUN Meals To-Go.
On the Durham Food Resources website, you can find food pantries, Durham Public Schools free meals for kids, free kid's meals sites, Farmer's Markets, and Grocery Stores that take SNAP/WIC. You can search sites closest to you. There is also information about applying for SNAP and WIC benefits.
