Each year, neighbors in Durham Housing Authority’s (DHA) communities come together to celebrate National Night Out. This event is nationwide and promotes police/community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood fellowship. National Night Out is coordinated by the DHA’s Resident Councils, Resident Safety Operations, staffers and other sponsors of the Community.

Thursday May 5th, we celebrated the official ribbon-cutting for the opening of Burton Park’s new playground in Durham! It’s exciting to finally see the hard work of Durham Parks and Recreation, KABOOM!, LOL, Blue Cross NC, and all the amazing volunteers. It’s going to be a great summer for our DHA youth.
